My burial search produced several people with my last name. Can you tell me if they are related to my family buried there?

Catholic Cemetries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis maintains burial records only. No information is avalable on family relationships or other family members buried at the cemeteries. Another resouce would be The Vital Records Office. This is a public library of public records on the nearly 250 years of history on the people and property of Saint Louis. Beginning July 1, 2002, the Vital Records Office became part of the Saint Louis City Recorder of Deeds Office in City Hall at 1200 Market Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63103. A link is provided below.

What are the hours of the cemeteries? I understand that the gates are closed at 5:00 p.m. I would like to know when I can visit.

Do you also have the baptismal records for people buried in the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis?

Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis does not maintain baptismal records for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. These records are maintained at the parish where the baptism took place. For closed parishes, contact the Archdiocesan Archives office at 314.792.7020. Another resouce would be The Vital Records Office. Is it possible to pre-pay opening charges for lots and crypts?

Yes, a 20% down payment is required with the balance payable over time with nominal interest.

When can I have Memorial Work done?

The family may order inscription work on private memorials anytime.  For a new memorial, the marker or monument foundation order may be approved at anytime, but will only be processed after 6 months has elasped from the burial date.   There may be no outstanding monies due on the lot, including Endowed Care obligations.
